Jane Ashby Ph.D.

Jane Ashby worked as an Associate Professor of Psychology at Central Michigan University where she conducted eye movement research until 2019. She co-authored Psychology of Reading (2012) and several research articles about the role of phonology in skilled silent reading. She learned about reading at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and at the Massachusetts General Hospital Language Clinic. Presently, Dr. Ashby serves as the Senior Director of Director at the Stern Center for Language and Learning. She lives in Burlington, Vermont with her partner and her cats.
