Mary Beth Calhoon Ph.D.

Dr. Mary Beth Calhoon, earned her Ph.D. in Special Education from the Peabody College, Vanderbilt University. She is currently an Associate Professor in the School of Education at the University of Miami. Her primary research focuses on literacy and peer-tutoring instruction for adolescents at-risk for and with reading and mathematics disabilities. She has numerous published articles on literacy and mathematics for high, middle and elementary school students with learning disabilities, peer- tutoring, response to intervention, and effective instruction for diverse learners.
