Professor/Director, Rose Institute for Learning and Literacy Manhattanville College

Dr. Fedora is the Professor/Director of The Rose Institute for Learning and Literacy at Manhattanville College, whose mission is to teach multisensory learning methodologies to graduate students and in-service teachers. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators and was a classroom teacher and resource teacher at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. Previously, Dr. Fedora served as a Literacy Consultant for two years on an Institute of Education Sciences funded longitudinal study conducted by the National Research Center for Rural Education Support at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Fedora’s research interests include early intervention, multisensory instruction, the accuracy of teachers' judgments of students' level of risk for reading difficulty, and interventions for students at risk for reading difficulty. Dr. Fedora holds a M.Ed. in Reading and Language Arts and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology.
