Michael F. Hock, Ph.D., is the Director of KUCRL, Senior Research Scientist, and Courtesy Assistant Professor in KU's Department of Special Education. Dr. Hock has successfully directed numerous research and development efforts with adolescents and adults in literacy-based programs and has experience in the design and validation of instructional strategies aimed at improving outcomes for struggling students. Dr. Hock has published multiple articles and chapters on literacy in journals such as the Journal of Learning Disabilities, Learning Disabilities Quarterly, Journal of Psychology Education, and Journal of Staff Development.
