Melissa Orkin Ph.D.

Melissa Orkin is a Developmental Psychologist who has specialized in learning disabilities, and achievement motivation. Dr. Orkin currently serves as Program Director at the Tufts’ University Center for Reading and Language Research where she conducts several research studies into the factors that foster intrinsic motivation among students with learning disabilities. Dr. Orkin instructs on learning disabilities at Tufts University and contributes to publications on a variety of educational topics including literacy development and executive function skills. Through her private practice, Melissa regularly provides professional development workshops and individual consultations on the best ways to support individuals with dyslexia.
