A passionate advocate in the LD community, Ben has worked with students with dyslexia, language-based learning differences, and ADHD for nearly two decades and was honored to join Eagle Hill Southport School in 2012 as its second Headmaster.
He is also a life-long traveler who has lived in Kiev, Moscow, Paris, Helsinki, and various places from coast-to-coast in the US. He holds a BA in Russian from La Salle University, studied Language Education at Indiana University Bloomington, earned an Executive MBA from RIT's Saunders College of Business, and is currently a doctoral candidate at Grenoble Ecole de Management, where he is researching the relationship between the self-efficacy perceptions of students with dyslexia and their entrepreneurial intentions.
Prior to joining EHSS in 2012, he served as Headmaster of The Kildonan School, where he also taught history and math and was trained as an Orton-Gillingham tutor. Prior to Kildonan, he was a Russian language teacher at the Maplewood-Colonie School in Watervliet, NY.
Outside of his work and studies, he serves on various community and school-related boards and speaks nationally and internationally on topics relating to LD, ADHD, and dyslexic learners, independent school leadership, and entrepreneurship.
