Description

This workshop is designed for educators and school psychologists who are interested in learning more about the hows and whys of identifying students with dyslexia in our schools. The IDA definition of dyslexia and resulting student characteristics will be used as the basic framework for assessment. Participants will review and discuss sample case studies of students struggling in reading and determine whether error patterns are consistent with the error patterns generally seen in students with dyslexia. The importance of using the term dyslexia in our schools will also be discussed.
