Description

Despite the consistent growth in online education over the past several decades, relatively little is known about how to best teach students with LD, ADHD, and ASD in an online environment. This session will report on NSF-funded (DRL-1420198) research exploring the use of social presence to improve students’ comprehension of statistical concepts delivered online. Results from pre/post tests, coded videos, focus groups, and student interviews will be presented and discussed. Attendees will receive detailed information about the approach and how it can be implemented in any online classroom.
