Description

Grammar is back! Understanding how our language works extends from phonology to morphology and syntax. This presentation addresses the importance of teaching grammar to improve reading comprehension and written language. Essential to achieving standards from IDA’s Foundation Concepts of Knowledge and Practice as well as the Common Core, grammar learning is critical for all children, especially those who are English Language Learners or have language learning disabilities. Teachers can become confident teaching all students this fundamental of language learning for 21st century literacy in ways that are dynamic, relevant and fun.
