Description
Transforming classrooms and communities to implement structured literacy is not always easy. This presentation will address how combining our knowledge of evidence-based best practices with effective leadership and collaborations can promote systems change. This session will describe how a model professional development program in structured literacy not only increases children’s reading outcomes but also reduces special education costs. Two different road maps for implementation which result from this study will be shared.
