2019 Reading, Literacy & Learning Virtual Conference

SA11 - 1, 2, 3, 4 “M's” of Math: Mastery, Morphology, Measurement, and Metacognition

Nov 9, 2019 11:15am ‐ Nov 9, 2019 12:15pm

Standard: $20.00

Description

Reading instruction shouldn’t end when the period ends, especially for our dyslexic students who struggle to develop decoding, writing, and comprehension skills that are required in all content areas. During this session, participants will learn how to apply the science of reading to their math instruction in order to take advantage of the opportunities that math instruction offers to reinforce reading-writing skills. Participants will leave this interactive workshop with strategies, activities, and resources.
