SA2 - Does Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Treatment Improve Reading Outcomes of Students With Word-Reading Difficulties and ADHD?

Nov 9, 2019 10:00am ‐ Nov 9, 2019 11:00am

Standard: $20.00

Description

Many students have both ADHD and serious word-reading difficulties. Educators and parents need information about the impact of ADHD treatment on these students’ reading growth. If students just receive ADHD treatment (medication and behavioral parent training) without intensive reading intervention, will their reading improve as much as students who receive reading intervention? Will students have better outcomes if they receive both ADHD treatment and reading intervention? This session describes a large study that addressed these questions.
