Description
On the 70th anniversary of IDA conferences, it seems appropriate to acknowledge the man who inspired its inception, Samuel Torrey Orton, a true Renaissance man with interests in pathology, neurology, psychiatry, and education. As the majority of IDA members are educators, we also honor Anna Gillingham and Bessie Stillman who, under Dr. Orton's tutelage, developed the teaching approach known as The Orton-Gillingham Approach.
